Hizemans isn’t just a sports restaurant —
it’s truly a labor of love.
We signed the lease just one month before COVID changed everything. Contractors were nearly impossible to find, we had just welcomed our second child, and the future of the restaurant was completely uncertain. Still, we believed in what Hizemans could become, so our family rolled up our sleeves and got to work.
We installed the wood on the walls, tiled the kitchen, hung the wallpaper in the bathrooms, and helped build the bar ourselves. After months of hard work, we finally finished—only to learn that we still couldn’t open. There were moments when we honestly wondered whether Hizemans would ever welcome its first guest or if we would lose the restaurant before it even had a chance.
But we held on. When restrictions finally eased, Hizemans was born.
Today, Hizemans is a locally owned, family-friendly gathering place where our community can enjoy great food, cold drinks, and the biggest games together. Every detail inside represents a little piece of our family’s story, and every guest who walks through the door helps make all that hard work worthwhile.
We're proud of how Hizemans began, grateful for everyone who helped us keep going, and honored to share this labor of love with the community we call home.
